The Knossos Palace Tour will take us to the most famous landmarks of Crete. The Knossos archaeological area and the capital city of Heraklion. The area of Knossos was the capital of the Minoans which was the first European civilization.

Knossos Palace Tour

Knossos palace is part of thrilling legends due to its size and its design. Here you will enjoy a full tour of Knossos.

Leaving Knossos Palace, we go towards the Patsides village to visit the Minoan Farm. You will have the opportunity to try Cretan products, such as honey, and olive oil.

Heraklion Tour

The last stop is the city of Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Here you will enjoy a short guided tour of the city. And then free time to enjoy a drink in one of the coffee shops. You may take the opportunity to shop in the stores or just take a walk and explore the old buildings.

  • 13:00: Arrival in Heraklion.
  • 15:30: Departure from Heraklion to the hotels.
  • 16:00 – 17:00: Return time.

Admission Fees

Reduced Admission Fee

A reduced admission fee is set, amounting to approximately 50% of the regular ticket price, as shown in the table in the appendix of this document. The following individuals are entitled to pay this reduced fee:

a. Greek citizens and citizens of other European Union member states over 65 years old, who must show their ID card or passport to confirm their age and country of origin, during the period from October 1st to May 31st each year.

b. Accompanying parents on educational visits of primary schools from EU member states and the European Economic Area.

c. Accompanying teachers on educational visits from schools and institutions of primary, secondary, and higher education from countries outside the European Union.

Free Admission – Exemption from the Payment of the Entrance Fee

Entrance to organized archaeological sites, historical places, monuments, and museums that are managed by the Ministry of Culture is free of charge on the following dates:

March 6th (Melina Mercouri Remembrance Day),

April 18th (International Day for Monuments),

May 18th (International Museum Day),

Last weekend of September (European Heritage Days),

October 28th (National Holiday), and

The first and third Sunday of every month from November 1st to March 31st each year.

The following individuals are exempt from paying the entrance fee:

a) Children and young people up to 25 years old from European Union member states, who must show their ID card or passport to confirm their age and country of origin.

b) Children up to 18 years old from countries outside the European Union, who must show their passport to confirm their age and country of origin.

c) Individuals over 25 years old who are studying in secondary education schools (evening schools, Second Chance Schools, Vocational Education and Training Schools) and vocational schools (OAED Vocational Schools) in European Union member states and the European Economic Area, who must show proof of enrollment with the duration of their studies.

d) Accompanying teachers and students on educational visits from schools and institutions of primary, secondary, and higher education in European Union member states and the European Economic Area.

e) Individuals participating in the Social Solidarity Income (S.S.I.) program and their dependents, who must show their ID card and a certificate confirming their eligibility for free entry due to participation in the S.S.I. program, for the specific period of participation, as well as valid documents proving their dependent family members.

f) People with disabilities and one accompanying person, if the disability is 67% or higher, regardless of their country of origin. They must show either their Disability Card, ID card, passport, or the Disability Certificate from the National Social Insurance Institute (EFKA) (from the Disability Certification Centers – KEPA) for Greek residents, or an equivalent certificate from a relevant authority in other countries.
