First Stop: Cretaquarium
Our tour begins with a visit to Cretaquarium, one of the most modern and impressive aquariums in Europe. Here, you’ll explore the underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea and observe a wide variety of marine life — from colorful fish and clams to majestic sharks and giant tuna. After your visit, you can unwind with a coffee or snack at the aquarium’s café before we continue our trip.
Second Stop: Open-Air Market in Pateles
Next, we head to Pateles, home to Heraklion’s largest open-air market. Stroll through the vibrant stalls filled with local produce, herbs, cheeses, olives, clothes, shoes, and handmade crafts — all at great prices. The friendly vendors and lively atmosphere make this a memorable stop where you can feel the pulse of local life.
Third Stop: Heraklion City Center
Our final stop is the capital of Crete — Heraklion. We begin at Liberty Square, in the heart of the city, and from there you’re free to explore at your own pace. Discover historical landmarks such as the Koules Fortress, the Venetian Walls, and Lions’ Square, where you can enjoy a coffee or lunch in one of the many cafés. You may also choose to visit the Archaeological Museum, Municipal Library, Art Gallery, or some of the city’s beautiful Byzantine churches.
After this enriching experience, we return you comfortably back to your hotel.
